History

Trackball originated from an American ball throwing toy Trackball , which was originally just a children's recreational toy. In 2005, Taiwanese coach Lai Zhaoxun studied Trackball. By improving the weight of the ball, changing the curvature of the racket and shaping the appearance design, players can more easily serve a ball with full rotation and varied directions. Later, it gradually developed and compiled standard playing methods and competition rules, allowing the recreational toy to evolve into today's emerging ball sport - Trackball.

Since the sport was "invented" in 2005, after more than ten years of development, coach Lai Zhaoxun has actively promoted the sport of cyclone ball, which has made good progress in Taiwan. In addition to successfully "promoting it into schools", Taiwan has also established many cyclone ball sports clubs, and it has developed into a popular sport.

The equipment required for the cyclone ball sport is very simple, just a spoon-shaped racket and a plastic cyclone ball. The attraction of cyclone ball is that it is easy for players to get started. In addition to body swings and limb coordination, it is easy to make a variety of different "changing balls". Many players will be fascinated after participating once. In addition, the game has a brisk pace and fast alternation of offense and defense, making cyclone ball both exciting and fun.

Currently, Taiwan's cyclone ball is considered a sport suitable for all ages, from children to the elderly, because according to the rules of the sport, the range of movement when catching the ball is not large, and with the help of equipment, the range of movement is narrowed, allowing participants to play easily.

The sport of cyclone ball itself is easy to learn but difficult to master. It trains the player's hand, eye and body coordination when serving, and the receiving side trains concentration and quick reaction. The sport emphasizes good personal skills and techniques rather than physical strength.
